Business email prices usually start at a few dollars per user per month with global providers. With Emailat, at the time of writing, they start at 1,500 EGP or US$26 per year for the first mailbox, and each additional mailbox is 400 EGP or US$7 per year. The final price depends on the number of mailboxes, the domain, the storage and the payment method.

This guide is for business owners in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the Gulf who want a clear number before they decide. You will learn what the cost is made of, how to calculate your team's price with examples, how to compare providers, and which hidden costs show up after you subscribe.

What makes up the cost of business email?

Before comparing numbers, understand the items you are paying for. This keeps you from comparing an offer that includes the domain with one that does not. For a general overview of the service itself, see our guide to official business email.

First: the domain

The domain is your company's name on the internet, and it renews every year. Some providers register it for you as part of the subscription, while others ask you to register it separately and pay its renewal every year. This item alone can change the whole comparison.

Second: a mailbox for each employee

This is the main item. Every separate address with its own password, such as ahmed@company.com, counts as a mailbox. Aliases and forwards usually do not count as extra mailboxes with most providers.

Third: extra storage

Each mailbox has a set amount of storage. If your employees exchange large files, you may need to buy extra storage for some mailboxes. With Emailat, each mailbox gets 5 GB, and you can add 10 GB for 200 EGP or US$5 per year, at the time of writing.

Fourth: setup and operation

Some services leave you to configure DNS records and move your email yourself, which takes time that has a cost, or a technician's fee you pay to someone else. With Emailat, mailboxes are set up automatically after payment with a new domain, and with a domain you already have, we give you the values ready and check the connection for you.

How is Emailat's price calculated?

The calculation is simple and public: a price for the first mailbox + a lower price for each additional mailbox, then a large-plan discount is applied where it exists. These are the figures at the time of writing:

  • First mailbox: 1,500 EGP or US$26 per year, with a new domain included in the subscription.

  • Each additional mailbox: 400 EGP or US$7 per year.

  • If you have a domain: The first mailbox costs 300 EGP or US$8 less per year. See the details on the lower price if you have a domain page.

  • At 25 mailboxes: A 5% discount on the total.

The ready-made plans are: Solo (1 mailbox), Small team (5 mailboxes), Business (10 mailboxes) and Enterprise (25 mailboxes), and you can add mailboxes at any time.

Example calculation for a team of 5 and a team of 10

A team of 5 employees with a new domain: 1,500 + (4 × 400) = 3,100 EGP per year, or about 258 EGP per month for the whole team. The same team with a domain you already have: 1,200 + (4 × 400) = 2,800 EGP per year.

A team of 10 employees with a new domain: 1,500 + (9 × 400) = 5,100 EGP per year, or about 43 EGP per month per employee. With a domain you already have: 4,800 EGP per year.

Number of mailboxesNew domainYour own domain
11,500 EGP / US$261,200 EGP / US$18
53,100 EGP / US$542,800 EGP / US$46

2510,545 EGP / US$184.3010,260 EGP / US$176.70

Figures are annual, and the 5% discount has been applied in the 25-mailbox row. Prices in riyals or dirhams appear on the pricing page based on your country.

What about businesses in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf?

The same calculation applies to business email prices in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf: the first mailbox, then a lower price for each additional one. The only difference is the currency you see, since the pricing page automatically shows the amount in your country's currency, so you know the total before you pay without any conversion math.

Business email prices from global providers compared

Here is a comparison of each provider's cheapest email plan, according to the official websites in October 2026 (last checked: October 27, 2026). Global prices are in US dollars and may vary by country and taxes:

On an annual basis, US$7 per month means US$84 per year per user. A team of 5 on Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 pays about US$420 per year before the domain and taxes. To compare features in detail, not just price, read our comprehensive comparison of email providers.

Why does the price differ from one provider to another?

The difference in price is not random. These are the main reasons:

  • The bundle of tools: Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 sell a complete bundle that includes cloud storage, video meetings and office apps, with email as one part of it. If you only need email, you are paying for tools you may not use.

  • Storage: Plans with large storage cost more, but most small businesses do not use more than a few gigabytes per mailbox in their first years.

  • Support: Support in your language and in your time zone has a cost, and it saves you hours when you need it.

  • Currency: A price in US dollars is affected by the exchange rate, so what you actually pay in your local currency changes from year to year.

There is no provider that is "best" for everyone. The right one covers your needs without making you pay for what you do not need. We help you with this decision in our guide to choosing company email and our article on the best email hosting.

Hidden costs to watch out for

The advertised price is not always what you will pay. Review these points before you decide:

And if you are still wondering whether paid email is worth it at all, we discussed that frankly in the article Is free email enough?

How do you lower the cost of business email without losing anything?

Not every address needs a paid mailbox. With a little organization, you can pay only for what you need:

  • Count people, not addresses: A mailbox is paid for each person who needs their own password. Addresses such as info@company.com or sales@company.com can sometimes be a forward to an existing employee's mailbox instead of a separate mailbox.

  • Use the domain you own: If your website already has a domain, connecting your email to it saves you the price of a new domain, and your website stays where it is without any change.

  • Start small, then add: Do not buy 10 mailboxes when you need 4. You can add more at any time, so pay for the size of your current team.

  • Buy storage only for those who need it: The basic storage is enough for most employees, and extra storage is added to a specific mailbox, not to everyone.

  • Organize attachments: Share large files through cloud storage links instead of sending them as attachments, so mailbox usage stays low for years.

What is not worth saving on?

Do not save at the expense of authentication and security. SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, two-step verification on the admin account, and renewing the domain on time all cost almost nothing, and their absence could cost you customers. With Emailat, we set up sending protection from day one as part of the subscription, at no extra charge.

Paying in local currency, and the invoice

One of the biggest obstacles for businesses in Egypt and the Gulf with global providers is payment: an international card, a price in US dollars, and an invoice that may not suit the accountant.

With Emailat, you pay online on the website by card, mobile wallet or Fawry, and you see the price in your currency. You receive an invoice with every order to keep for your accounts, and at the time of writing no separate tax line is added to the invoice.

You can turn on automatic renewal by saving your card securely, then turn it off and delete the card whenever you want from your account. That way your company email never stops because someone forgot the renewal date.

The bottom line

Business email prices depend on the number of mailboxes, whether the domain is included in the subscription, the storage and the currency you pay in. Global providers suit anyone who needs a full bundle of tools, but if your goal is professional email in your company's name at a clear annual price with local payment, calculate your team's cost yourself before you decide.

Frequently asked questions

How much does business email cost per year?

It depends on the provider and the number of mailboxes. With Emailat, at the time of writing, it starts at 1,500 EGP or US$26 per year for the first mailbox, and each additional mailbox is 400 EGP or US$7 per year. Global providers charge per user per month in US dollars. See the pricing page for current figures in your currency.

Is the price monthly or annual?

An Emailat subscription is annual per mailbox, and the monthly figure shown on the pricing page is for illustration only. Most global providers show a monthly price per user, but their lowest price usually requires an annual commitment, while flexible monthly billing costs a little more.

Is the domain included in the price?

With Emailat, we can register a new domain for you as part of your email subscription. If you already have a domain, the price is lower because you do not need a new one, and your website stays where it is. Most global providers require you to bring a ready domain, or sell it as a separate service at its own price.

Why is Google Workspace more expensive than some alternatives?

Because Google Workspace is not just email; it is a bundle of tools that includes Drive, Meet, Docs and a large amount of pooled storage. If your team uses these tools every day, the price is justified; if it mainly needs email, you may be paying for tools you do not use.

Is there a discount for a large number of mailboxes?

Yes. With Emailat, each additional mailbox costs less than the first one, and at the time of writing a 5% discount applies to the total once you reach 25 mailboxes. The pricing page calculates the total automatically based on the number you choose.

Do the prices include tax?

With Emailat, at the time of writing, no separate tax line is added to the invoice, and you receive an invoice with every order. With global providers, taxes may be added at checkout depending on your country, so check the final total on the payment page before confirming.
